Some of the first pictures of the Kiger Mustang were hand drawn. Here is a cave drawing from 30,000 years ago that show Kiger type.

I also think it is important if we are to understand what makes the Kiger Mustang so tough, we need to see were they have grown up. Some of this country is very barren, some rough and all of it beautiful. I start with a picture turned into a drawing, that I took when in Kiger Country, as it depicts for me, the character of the land itself. The desert is barren, the juniper clad hill rough and the alpine meadows beautiful.

At Springwater Station it has been a privilege to host a number of students from various equine university programs throughout Europe during summer internships. Here are a few pictures of our horses and a some, but not all of students.

The best pictures were those taken while we were working with our Kigers. Here is Dewayne deep in it as always was his nature.

Next is a few of our kids and student from Europe trail riding around Timothy Lake.

Another big activity at SpringWater Station is endurance riding here is a photo of us training and a few of our younger trainers.

Maybe what really counts is that after a long day. They still have their head up, eyes alert and heart ready and waiting. That look says Let's Ride...
